Happy Thanksgiving

Although it was just the two of us for Thanksgiving dinner, I still cooked for an army. There were so many things that we both wanted...and we actually forgot about the mashed potatoes and biscuits at the last minute! I did most of the preparation the day before and did the final prep the morning of while Ronnie was out playing football, so it wasn't too hectic of a day.
My first turkey turned out great! And the one picture of us together came out dark. :( Happy Thanksgiving!!

They just showed this funny public service announcement on the Today Show from fatherhood.gov, about father's involvemnet in their children's lives. I was cracking up picturing Ronnie doing this...

Ready to Glide!

When we were in Miami, Ronnie and I did some looking around for a glider for Kaitlyn's room. We found a great deal at La Ideal Baby Store, but they didn't offer online shopping so we weren't sure how we'd get it to Ecuador. Lisa offered to go pick it up for us and ship it to us. Later she told us that her and Barby decided that the glider would be our gift for the shower. It arrived here on Monday and we brought it home last night and put it together. It's so comfy! Thanks, Lisa, Barby and Madison!

It Won't Be Like This for Long

The other day while reading up on some of the other blogs I frequently visit, I can across a post about this song. It is a song by Darius Rucker, the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish, written for his daughter. Ronnie and I watched the video and immediately teared up. I think it's already Ronnie's favorite song for his little girl. :)

Kaitlyn's Room

We finally chose the furniture and bedding for Kaitlyn's room. We'll be buying the crib in the States, but are having a local carpenter make the changing table and dresser. The very last picture is the bedding we chose.
