Basilica del Voto Nacional

In the last week of June, Ron and I took a trip to Old Quito to walk arund and visit the Basilica del Voto Nacional (Basilica of the National Vow). It's noted for its "gargoyles" in the form of native Ecuadorian animals.

Here are some of those animal gargoyles:
There were some great views from up there.
In order to go even higher up, we had to cross this narrow brdge to get to the next level.
Ronnie took this shot on his way up to one of the spires. I had no desire to go with him.
