I mentioned in my last post that we had a pretty low-key summer. Although we didn't actually get out of town, except for Cobb Island, we did have lots of fun! Here are some of the fun things we did.
- LOTS of time at the pool. The kids graduated from this "sprinkler pool" and now we only go to the "big pool", which has a diving board and water slide.
- Our day at the National Harbor. More about that here.
- Ice cream with friends.
- July 4th fireworks.
- Fun in the fire hydrant when the water company comes to do their annual testing.
- Stone Tower Winery visits with friends.
- 4th of July parade and annual neighborhood BBQ.
- Several teeth were lost.
- The kids and I went to a Children's Science Museum with friends.
- Cooling off in the splash pad.
- Peach picking at Great Country Farms.
- That same night, I joined the family on my first camping "trip". More on that in another post.
- Family bowling.
- We celebrated Mom T's birthday.
- Kaitlyn rejoined gymnastics right at the end of the school year. We've loved watching her get back into the gym.
- And lastly, we enjoyed our annual Neighborhood Back-to-School dinner.
